Clinical Hypnotherapy Training Courses

Important Factors Inherent in Highly Developed Training Courses

When considering training as a hypnotherapist, you are strongly advised to thoroughly examine what is on offer from as many training establishments as possible. This would assure that you are more informed and so better able to assess which is the correct training course for you.

To aid you in your search / decision making process the points listed below should be taken into consideration when choosing a training establishment and its hypnotherapy training course:

The Scottish School of Hypnotherapy

  • Is the Course structured to include 'hands on' practical experience, written examination with in-depth written constructive feedback, case studies that are responded to in extensive detail, and certification? Are follow-up training sessions, time on future training courses, post-graduate 'Mentor' support and post graduate training courses features of the hypnotherapy course ?

  • Is the Training body offering the hypnotherapy training course and the course training itself acknowledged and accepted by an insurance company? Most importantly - Will the student on graduation to qualified practitioner be eligible for practitioner insurance, i.e. Professional Indemnity / Public Liability policy?

  • Are the training institute and the course training itself recognised and accepted for external funding, e.g., by a bursary from employer, by a Career Development Loan (CDL), Individual Learning Accounts , Local Enterprise Companies, etc ?

  • Is the qualified therapist entitled to become a member of the NSPH an acclaimed practitioner society - the longest established hypnotherapy society in Scotland?

  • Does the organisation or society maintain a register of practitioners; have a formal Code of Conduct, Code of Ethics and Disciplinary Procedure?

  • Does the society or organisation make available support, publicise the therapy to the public and at the same time safeguard the welfare of both the public and the hypnotherapist?
